Abstract

The values of hematological parameters of Prochilodus scrofa, captured in Moji-Guaçu River, were investigated in order to increase the biological, physiological and ecological knowledgement. Hemoglobin concentration, erythrocyte counts, hematocrit values and the index MCV (mean corpuscular volume), MCH (mean corpuscular hemoglobin) and MCHC (mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration) were analyzed considering sex and gonadal maturation stages.
