Hydrolyzed meat protein in diets for fingerlings kinguio (Carassius auratus)

Abstract

It was evaluated the inclusion of hydrolyzed meat in diets for fingerlings of kinguio on the performance and attractiveness of the fish feed. One hundred sixty fingerlings were used, randomly distributed in 16 cages of 150 L of useful volume, in four treatments and four replications. To run this experiment, 3% of hydrolyzed meat (poultry fat, fish and chicken liver) in commercial mash diet, with 40% crude protein, and subsequently submitted to the extrusion process, were included. The parameters evaluated were body weight, total length, survival and feed conversion ratio and attractiveness of those diets. There were no statistical differences (P>0.05) for those parameters of the fish performance and attractiveness of the diets. Meat protein hydrolysates evaluated regardless of sources, well as the levels tested in diets for goldfish, did not affect the productive performance or the attractiveness of the diet.
