Abstract

The performance of silver catfish (Rhamdia quelen) juveniles was evaluated at temperatures of 20, 23 and 26°C using animals with initial average weight of 25 grams and reared for 33 days in polyurethane boxes of 1,000 liters capacity. Fish were fed once a day with extruded commercial ration with 36% crude protein. Final average weight, average weight gain, specific growth rate and apparent food conversion were determined. Results indicate that juvenile silver catfish present better performance at 23.7°C.
