Curva de seletividade em redes de emalhar utilizadas na captura de traí­­ra, Hoplias malabaricus Bloch, 1794 (Pisces, Cypriniformes)

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to determine the selection curve of gill-nets used to catch the Brazilian freshwater fish "Traira", Hoplias malabaricus Bloch, 1794 (Pisces, Cypriniformes), according to GULLAND (1969). The result is:

c*(L) = e-⁰,0272(L-l.98m)²

C*(L)= e

Where:

c*(L) = relative frequency of retention;

L = total length of the fish, and

m = perimeter of the mesh.
