Abstract

The chemical composition of "manjuba", Anchoviella lepidentostole (Fowler, 1911), was analyzed, including moisture, protein, fat and ash, from October, 1978 to September, 1979. Data statistically analyzed showed that the chemical composition is influenced by the stage of gonadal maturity. The mean percentages found were: 75.22% moisture, 17.73% protein, 5.06% fat and 2.62% ash.
