Abstract

Six species from the family Bramidae (Brama brama, B. caribbea and B. dussunieri; Pteraclis aesticola; Pterycombus petersii and Taractichthys longipinnis) were presented, from the catch of 300 specimens; juneniles were obtained from stomach of tuna longline fishery, also including, a single estuarine occurrence. Among the juveniles, B. dussunieri and B. caribbea were predominant; and among the adults was B. brama, which was commonly caught from May through July fisheries, exhibiting a particular interest for the prospective fishery as a probable alternative resource.
