Abstract

The present work was carried out in the Pindamonhangaba Fishculture Experimental Station between May/1985 and September/1987, with the purpose to evaluate which organic fertilizer (cattle/chicken manure) used as supplemented feeding to which was added balanced ration, would be mostly adequate to the growth and increase of biomass of "curimbatá" in semi-intensive cultures. Two treatments procedures were tested: T1 - cattle manure and balanced ration; T2 - chicken manure and balanced ration. The stocking density rate was 0.7 fish/m². The results showed that the mostly efficient procedure was the chicken manure on the production of "curimbatá". Treatment 2 showed a net yield 1.11 times that of treatment 1.
