The purpose of this study was the morphometric characterization of Orechromis niloticus and male hybrid (ââ„¢"š O. hornorum X ♀ O. niloticus) in monosex culture and the analysis of condition factor variation. Fries were stoked in five ponds of 100 m2 each one in the stoking rate of two fish per square meter. Twenty five percent of the total fish of each pond were monthly sampled and the biometric features were recorded. The standard length and body height showed linear relationship with the total length, and the fishes showed a proportional development of the morphometric features from fingerling to adult stages. lt was observed that the males of O. niloticus showed weight greater than that of females and these than hybrids. The variation of the condition factor was quite similar among the different fish cultures.
