Two hundred and fifty-eight species, belonging to fishes (187), crustaceans (32), mollusks (25) and other invertebrates (14), were registered as the by-catch of the sea-bob shrimp (Xiphopenaeus kroyeri) and red spotted shrimp (Farfantepenaeus brasiliensis and F. paulensis) fishery fleets from São Paulo State, which act between 5 to 90 m isobaths along Southeast Brazilian coastline. The species composition of the landing and discarded fractions and additional information were presented, characterizing the referred fisheries as those of higher diversity among the others studied.
