(Blood lipid contento of curimbatá Prochilodus scrofa (steindachner, 1881)

Abstract

The content of blood lipid was determined in "curimbatá" Prochilodus scrofa. Significant difference in blood lipid (P â"°¥ 0.01) was observed between the sexes only in the spent stage of the reproductive cycle. A significant correlation was obtained (0.01 â"°¤ P â"°¤ 0.05) between the blood lipid values and the individual total weight when the sexes and the stages of the gonad maturation were not considered.
