Abstract

At the Trout Culture Experimental Station of Campos do Jordão, São Paulo, Brazil, the reproductive traits resulting from the mating of 47 parentals of rainbow trout were estimated. The fecundity and fertility rates of the mating parents as well as the survival rate of their fry were analyzed. The occurrence of genetic abnormalities at F1 were detected. The organization and classification of abnormal individuals were according to the type the frequency that appeared in the different experiments. The mathematical model employed permitted combinations between two colorations and two sexes, forming four genic pools.
