Abstract

The performance test in polymorphics of rainbow trout was carried out at the Estação Experimental de Salmonicultura de Campos do Jordão (São Paulo-Brazil). The purpose of this experiment was to study the productive traits of the offspring (F1), produced from the mating of 47 brown (standard coloration) and yellow parents. The growth curve, the increase weight and the feeding efficiency were estimated. The results indicated that the offspring proceeding from the mating of brown color parents (P x P) surpassed all the other treatments. In intensive cultures it should be done priority to brown standard coloration individuals.
