Abstract

In carps Cyprinus carpio infested by Argulus sp, accompaniments of hematological parameters were done. These ectoparasitic crustacean is responsible for serious damages in fish populations. First blood sample was collected from infested fishes, seven days before they were treated against parasites by 0,0-dimethyl 2,2,2- Tricloroetilo (Neguvon) and, two other samples, 13 and 33 days after treatments. The values obtained for the analyzed blood parameters, when compared to others from the mentioned bibliography for the same species no infested, can be considered low. After treatment, some of these parameters did not present any change at all. However, MCV (mean corpuscular volume), MCH (mean corpuscular hemoglobin), the leucocyte number, the differential counts of lymphocytes, monocytes, eosynophils and special granulocytic cell showed a significant difference among the mentioned three samples.
