Abstract

The aim of the research was to evaluate the jundiá (Rhamdia quelen) larvae development fed semi-purified diets supplemented with canola and sunflower oils and phosphatydilcoline. Two experiments with 14 days of duration were accomplished, being used 2,880 larvae in each. In the first experiment (I), three semi-purified diets (casein, albumin and gelatin) were tested with canola and sunflower oils supplementation. In the second (II) one, the best diet of the first experiment was used (base albumin), with the oils of canola and sunflower and phosphatydilcoline. In both experiments, six treatments were tested with three replications. About the larvae, the estimate parameters were: total (CT) and standard (CP) length, weight (P), survival (S), specific growth rate (TCE) and product (weight x survival)/100 [(P x S)/100]. In the first experiment it was verified that the base albumin diet provided higher growth and the sunflower oil influenced the larvae survival. In the second one, it was observed that the phosphatydilcoline inclusion as lipidic source showed positive effect in the fish development. It can be concluded that the use of the albumin diet and phosphatydilcoline supplementation in the diet provided higher growth in jundiá (Rhamdia quelen) larvae.
