(Nutrition dynamics of Anchoviella Lepidentostole Fowler, 1911 ( Osteichthyes,Engraulidae ), from Ribeira de Iguape River, São Paulo State, Brazil)

Abstract

The stomach average repletion index, the condition factor and the stage of replection relative frequency as seasonal functions are analyzed. It was verified that "manjubas" Anchoviella lepidentostole (Fowler, 1911) in the Ribeira de Iguape River, São Paulo State, Brazil, are found to be fatter in the springtime and to have their stomachs more filled up in the wintertime. The seasonal relationship between total body weight and total length was determined, according to Santos (1978).
