Abstract

The reproduction of exotic species and their establishment in the new environment lead to ecological unpredictable interactions with native species. In order to verify the invasion stage of the exotic species, rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), reproduction indications had been search in a river of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, where it is introduced. The results had shown the presence of reproduction in that river and the survival until the fingerling phase.
