Abstract

To Macrobrachium carcinus were determined the relations between cephalotorax, abdominal and telson lengths with the total length. Each one of these parts had its lengths related among them. The adjusted equations show that these three body parts present the same growth rate characterizing an isometric growth pattern. No changes occur in the relation between cephalotorax length and abdominal length that may be significant to the maximization of the meat profit.
