INDUCCIÓN DE LA OVULACIÓN Y DEL DESOVE DEL YAMíÅ¡, Brycon siebenthale, CON IMPLANTES DE mGnRH-a

Foram realizados três tratamentos com mGnRH-a para induzir a ovulação e a desova do yamú (Brycon siebenthalae), e estes foram comparados com um tratamento com extrato de pituitária de carpa (EPC). O veículo de aplicação do mGnRH-a utilizado foi uma mistura de colesterol (75%) e celulose (25%). O EPC foi administrado por via intramuscular, com prévia verificação do estádio de maduração gonadal das fêmeas, mediante biopsia ovárica e presença de sêmen nos machos. A efetividade dos tratamentos foi determinada através da ocorrência ou não da desova, número de óvulos liberados, taxa de fertilização e taxa de eclosão. Do total de fêmeas tratadas com EPC, 50% desovou e, nenhuma das fêmeas tratadas com mGnRH-a desovou.
