Forty-seven dwarf sharks, Squaliolus laticaudus Smith and Radcliffe, 1912, were found in stomach contents of pelagic fish caught by Brazilian longliners off the southern coast of Brazil. Two of them were found in the stomachs of swordfish (February 1974 and February 1977), and the remaining 45, in the stomach of a bigeye tuna (August 1978). The total length of these small sharks ranged from 84 to 110 mm. The identification was based on the morphology and morphometrics. It was first observed an external row of teeth on the lower jaw, ahead of the functional row. This is the first record occurrence of concentration of dwarf shark.
